Seller Account Set-Up
Congratulations! Welcome to the Quiltster family!
Before you can begin selling on Quiltster, you’ll need to complete your Settings in the Seller Content Management System (Seller CMS). These settings control how taxes, shipping fees, payouts and order notifications are handled for your shop.
Follow these steps to get set up and start selling!
Access Seller Settings
- Log in to the Seller CMS
- Go to Seller Settings
- Complete the fields outlined below.
Shop Information
Description
This should be a short description of your shop.
Information entered here may be displayed to customers as Quiltster Marketplace shop pages continue to expand and evolve. We recommend including a few sentences that help customers understand who you are, what makes your shop unique and anything special you’d like visitors to know.
Sales Tax Information
Tax Rate
Enter the sales tax rate for your state. Quiltster does not calculate or determine your tax rate. Please consult your accountant or tax professional if you’re unsure what rate should be entered.
Tax State
Enter the state where your shop is located.
Shipping Information
Choose one of the following flat-rate shipping methods (required): Shipping Order Fee OR Shipping Item Fee.
Shipping Order Fee
Enter a flat-rate shipping amount that will be charged once per order, regardless of how many items are purchased.
Example:
If your Shipping Order Fee is $12.00, the customer pays $12.00 shipping whether they purchase one item or five items in the same order.
Shipping Item Fee
Enter a flat-rate shipping amount that will be charged once for each distinct item in an order.
Example:
If a customer purchases three different kit listings and your Shipping Item Fee is $5.00, the shipping charge would be $15.00.
Note: The Weight-Tiered Shipping option is reserved for sellers using integrated inventory systems. This feature is currently in beta and is not available to Seller accounts unless preapproved.
Free Shipping Threshold Price
This setting is optional.
Enter the order subtotal at which free shipping should automatically apply. Orders that meet or exceed this amount will qualify for free shipping.
Payout Information
To receive payouts from Quiltster Marketplace sales, you’ll need to connect a Stripe account.
- Locate the Stripe Account section in Seller Settings.
- Click Connect with Stripe.
- Follow the prompts to connect your payout information.
Each seller account may be connected to one Stripe account.
Invoice Email Addresses
Enter the email address(es) that should receive copies of Marketplace orders and invoices.
If multiple people need notifications, separate email addresses with commas.
You're Ready to Sell!
Once Seller Settings are complete and your Stripe account is connected, you’re ready to begin creating listings and accepting orders through the Quiltster Marketplace.
